Still Small Theatre presents a staged reading of Running, a new musical based on the timeless story of the Prodigal Son. With women in the iconic roles, set in a modern world of addictions, college tuition, foster kids, and rowdy Fourth of July celebrations, Jesus’ most beloved story comes to life as you’ve never imagined it.
Performances are August 19th at 7:30 pm, and 20th at 3:00 pm, at College Church (58 Pomeroy Terrace, Northampton, MA).
Admission is pay-what-you-can (suggested donation: $7-12). Following the performance, there will be a talk-back with the cast and creative team. As this is a new piece, we value your responses as the show continues to develop!
* Please note: Due to some thematic elements discussed in the script, this show is recommended for ages 13 and up. These include alcohol and drug use, parental abandonment, threats of violence, and contemplation of suicide. Please use discretion when bringing children to the show.
