Will you help by collecting NEW underwear, t-shirts and socks this October? Bring your donations to the Church, by November 13th.
The Springfield Rescue Mission serves hundreds of men in their Emergency Shelter and Rehabilitation Program each year. They also reach out to homeless and near-homeless men, women and children with new underwear, socks and t-shirts, used clothing, coats and shoes in their Give Away Center – ALL FREE OF CHARGE! As the weather starts getting colder, donating a new set of underclothing is an easy way to show the love of Christ to someone who has not had a clean pair of undergarments for months. Very often spiritual healing begins with physical needs being met.
We encourage you to bring this idea to your work and schools to see if we can partner with our communities to help this great cause.
Together we will make sure no child and no adult faces the humiliation of going without underwear. Undie Sunday allows you to make a meaningful difference in the life of someone who is going without basic needs.
