The gospel has not always been good news for Native Nations of Turtle Island (North America). Have you wondered what a Biblical, indigenous faith might look like among First Nations people? Patricia Dawson will lead us in discussing “Rescuing the Gospel from the Cowboys: A Native American Expression of the Jesus Way". Patricia is a member of College Church, a citizen of the Cherokee Nation, and a history professor at Mount Holyoke College with a focus on Native American history.

We will work together to prepare a performance of Ella Enchanted, a fun yet deeply meaningful story about freedom, sacrifice -- and what it really takes to break a fairy's curse! Along the way, we’ll integrate games, discussion, theatrical instruction -- and, of course, lots of rehearsal – as we grapple with important themes in the show. On Friday, August 15th and Saturday, August 16th we’ll put on performances for family, friends and neighbors.
