The gospel has not always been good news for Native Nations of Turtle Island (North America). Have you wondered what a Biblical, indigenous faith might look like among First Nations people? Patricia Dawson will lead us in discussing “Rescuing the Gospel from the Cowboys: A Native American Expression of the Jesus Way". The seminar will take place on July 27 after the service in the Fellowship Hall. Patricia is a member of College Church, a citizen of the Cherokee Nation, and a history professor at Mount Holyoke College with a focus on Native American history. While having the book will make the experience richer, it is not essential that you have it or have read it for the seminar. It will be a potluck, so feel free to bring a dish if you are able, but don’t let it keep you away if not! This seminar is open to anyone, and no sign-ups are necessary—just come as you are! Childcare will be provided.

On Friday, August 15th and Saturday, August 16th we’ll put on performances for family, friends and neighbors.
